During my time as a classroom teacher, I’ve seen how easily students can become overwhelmed by pressure, uncertainty and self-doubt. The latest Resilient Youth 2025 data shows that up to a third of young people are struggling with low mood, anxiety and resilience. Yet, when asked what would help, they called for something simple; more education in how to care for their mental health, and accessible, everyday strategies like breathwork to support their wellbeing.
 
Calm Classrooms offers a school-based solution that aligns with OECD’s Future of Education and Skills 2030 vision, building lifelong foundations in mental health. Through developmentally tailored breathwork sessions, students learn how to regulate their nervous system, strengthen self-awareness and develop emotional balance. Each session gives students practical tools to calm their mind, regulate their emotions and connect more deeply with themselves and others. Whether it’s finding focus before an exam, steadying emotions after conflict, or learning to breathe through life’s challenges. Calm Classrooms provide lifelong tools to support wellbeing and learning success.
 
We work with you to tailor sessions to fit within your School’s timetable. Each session runs within a single period and can be extended to include a greater focus on physiology and the breath-body connection. Sessions can be run with a whole year level if the school has a large enough space for all students to lie down comfortably.

After more than a decade teaching in secondary schools, I understand the paradox of education: how we can love our work and our students, yet still feel constantly tired, stressed, and on the edge of burnout. The latest research from UNSW Sydney confirms what many teachers already feel: nine in ten experience severe stress, with nearly 70% describing their workload as unmanageable (Granziera et al., 2025). With one in three teachers considering leaving the field (AITSL, 2025), there’s an urgent need for scalable, practical wellbeing solutions that fit within schools’ realities.
 
The Calm Classrooms teacher series provide a practical, evidence-informed approach to restoring balance and preventing burnout through breath-led regulation. Designed to complement Victoria’s Psychological Health and Safety Regulations and Mentally Healthy Workplaces Framework, these programs support psychological safety and emotional sustainability in schools. Sessions are designed to helps educators regulate stress, reconnect with joy, and restore clarity. When teachers breathe better, they lead better and their calm sets the tone for the entire classroom.
 
Whole-School Wellbeing Training
A dedicated breathwork workshop delivered on curriculum or whole-school planning days. Bring your entire staff together with a session that equips teachers with tools they can use instantly to regulate stress and strengthen emotional resilience. A powerful way to start the year with clarity, calm and a shared language around nervous system health.
 
Teacher Drop-In Sessions
Flexible sessions teachers can access during free periods throughout the school day. These short, restorative sessions provide an “on-the-go” wellbeing boost that enhances focus, supports regulation and reduces overwhelm – without disrupting teaching loads.
 
Leadership Workshops
A space for school leaders to step out of urgency mode and into clarity. Ideal for those carrying high cognitive load, decision fatigue and emotional demands. This session helps counter stress, improves decision-making clarity and supports a more grounded, connected leadership.
